Re: Unofficial Racing Records
Lol i thought this topic was dead until i saw there was another page.... whoops
@Xak... that's an 8 minute fall... Dx I don't have the patience for that
Oh and, I'm wondering what the hype is about these times... They're recording breaking - end of story .... at least that's what I thought before I saw the second page. Sure lag exists, and to get around that, there should be a policy for broken records. For example:
"Policy Example (probably not rules but eh my idea xD):
1) Do Alone In Room --- NO SPECTS DX"
Though probably not the policy thing, It would be nice to standardize the way you set new records... Ideally it would remove all conflict of these times, since the method used to get these times has been agreed upon beforehand.

Yes, I think that to get records now we must play alone, or in the case of levels with pop spikes or axes, play with other people and be the host
btw, is anyone else sad to find out that racing is praticaly useless? I mean, even if two players race exactly the same, their time will be random :/

I got it in a room with other people and I'm pretty sure I was not host, so that must be deleted tooxak wrote:Bounspikser Land ? (sohd might know about it)

This seemed legit too me. I thought it was a good run, thought I'd share it.

Nice. That is a pretty sweet run. I got 7:87 on zipper (broke faithpath by 0.13 seconds).

Not sure probably should have looked at the time. I doubt it was me because it was an AG lobby. I would probably would have been out from the current record by a couple of milliseconds then I guess.

It's actually a really huge accomplishment imo, FaithPath is an EP Legend.Xakaze wrote:Congrats you beat the times of someone who left the site 3 years ago.

CORRECTIONS - VERIFIED TIMES
Greetings,
I'm aware that in the original post, you say that you will not update the records list, and I know that this topic has been inactive for a while now. However, I feel that I should make a couple corrections to the list regardless.
I recently went back and carefully measured the time of my records on Marathon, Crossroads, and Front Door (I have videos of all these), and I have found that the in-game timer is not perfectly accurate in any the videos. In the Crossroads vid, the timer counts too slowly, but in the Marathon and Front Door vids, it actually counts too fast.
Using software to check the exact time and number of frames from start to finish in each video, I got the following times:
Marathon: 11.47 Seconds (≈194.9 Frames @ ≈17 FPS)
Video: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Front Door: 10.10 Seconds (≈171.7 Frames @ ≈17 FPS)
Video: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Crossroads: 8.67 Seconds (≈156.0 Frames @ ≈18 FPS)
Video: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Again, I carefully checked the actual time of each run. These are accurate.
Also, I should add that Faithpath's time on Wombat is 5.93, not 6.30.

Again, I don't like false records, so I feel compelled to get this info out there.
